How Korean Saju reads the same date: Thai tradition fixes one color and Buddha posture per weekday. Korean Saju (Four Pillars) does not use the 7-day week at all — it turns your year, month, day and hour into 8 characters (Heavenly Stems & Earthly Branches) and reads the Five Elements balance and Day Master from those characters instead.

Your Thai day only reads a fixed weekly cycle. A full Saju reading reads your Day Master, Five Elements balance, and 10-year luck cycle from your exact birth data.

Frequently asked questions

How is the Thai birthday color decided?

It follows the day of the week you were born on (Sunday through Saturday), based on a Hindu-influenced color tradition still used in Thailand today. Each weekday has one fixed color, for example Sunday is red and Monday is yellow.

What is Phra Prajam Wan Kerd?

It literally means the Buddha image of one's birth day. Thai tradition assigns one of seven (sometimes eight, counting Wednesday night separately) Buddha postures to each day of the week, each with its own name, gesture and story.

Do I need my exact birth time?

No. This calculator only uses your day of the week, which is fully determined by your birth date. The one exception in full Thai tradition is Wednesday, which is split into day and night; this tool shows the daytime Wednesday result since birth time is not collected.

How does Korean Saju read the same birth date?

Thai tradition assigns one fixed color and Buddha posture per weekday. Korean Saju (Four Pillars) does not use the 7-day week at all — it converts your year, month, day and hour into 8 characters (Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches) and reads the Five Elements balance and Day Master from those characters.
